Suvi Color Lab, now one of the biggest digital color labs in India

Started at Changanasserry in the year 1990. Two years later we added Konica -808 printer processor which was the first of its type in Kerala and only the second one in India. In 1994 we started our first branch at Mavelikkara in the name and style as SUNI COLOR SPOT at Mitchel junction. We expanded our service by opening a branch at Adoor in 1996 and at Erattupetta in 1997. No doubt, in Kerala ,we were one of the pioneers in digital printing. For that we introduced Noritsu 2301 HRCRT printer processor in 1997. In 2002 we added Durst epsilon 30 to our lab to provide wide format prints to customers. The significance of this machine was that it can print photos up to 30” wide and any length. As a part of our service expansion we upgraded all our color labs with Noritsu – 3201 in 2004. Two years later Durst theta 76 the wide format printer joined our fleet. In the same year we closed our Erattupetta branch and began a unit at Thalayolapparambu in Kottayam district for operational convenience. By the introduction of digital press in Kerala we started Suvi Digital Press with a Xerox DC-12 and later upgraded to DC 5000. Now all our braches having Xerox printing machines to meet the digital press necessities. In July 2010 we made a remarkable leap in the photographic industry by introducing HP Indigo 5500 six color digital printer. The significance of this machine is its high quality light weight thin prints on normal or synthetic paper. These prints are used to make extra thin light weight albums. Supreme quality printing press jobs can also be possible in this machine. Proudly we can say that we are one of the pioneer Photo Book makers in Kerala. We are also having fully equipped binding unit with which we are able to deliver light weight double sided supreme albums upto 12x18 size within three hours. In 2012 we made another remarkable leap in the photographic industry by introducing HP Indigo 7600 seven color digital printer.It provides prints at 800 DPI/ 175 LPI. In 2018 we bought the new HP 12000 HDLA machine which provides high quality print.The machine provides prints at 1600DPI/250 LPI. Its higher compared to the present hp machine which has print at 800 DPI/ 175 LPI. The machine offers bigger size prints(B2 Size).It provides true photo quality HDLA Prints. We are also concentrating on photography related services such as photo laminations of various types, souvenir printing on cups, plates, clothes , tiles, metal sheets etc., making of ID cards , portrait printing on canvass etc.,
